I had been using a similar stand for my new
model of my Auggie AAC device,
but
I'm
always seeking less expensive, more portable
solutions for mounting/positioning BigKeys,
EZ See, and Fusion note-taker. I love my SlantBoard for stability,
but it raises the bottom edge of the keyboard to about 2 inches, which
is OK for IntelliKeys.
But I needed the keyboard as close to the table surface as
possible. So I tried
my Auggie stand and what do you know? It worked great! For
both keyboards and the Fusion!

Having this great angle to these keyboards
greatly reduces, what I call, head-bobbing, where the user has to look
down, then up at the monitor, then down, then up, etc. Also, it
takes the heel of the palm out of the 'picture', so accidental spaces
are eliminated. And it puts the keyboard at an angle in line with the
screen.

EMay was completely
hunched over without the Keyboard Stand. You can see the
difference here! (she's also using my Keyboard Separator, which
*really* helped her to use her right hand more)
(Yes, her right hand is in a support; contact me for details)
