Finally,
people with significant physical challenges can operate their own
entertainment systems! Nothing fancy, just BIG, user-friendly,
and not too pricey! The infrared (IR) beam that this baby
*blasts* makes it so the remote doesn't need to be pointed right at the
target device. Put in on a lap tray, a lap, the floor, or the
sofa! (this unit is not meant to be hand-held; it's just too big)
Comes with codes for almost all makes/models of entertainment devices and it's super-easy to program. And yes, it works with satellite and cable :) You *know* me! I wouldn't offer this unit unless it actually worked well and was easy to set up and use.
I make real efforts to contribute to quality of life (QOL) as well as my regular learning and access software and hardware. This Giant Remote and my cordless iPod BIG Button Remote definitely fit in that QOL category!
